Passmore First Aid - Dave Passmore
I am a qualified nurse (BSc) with 18 years experience in trauma and medical care in the UK and here at Christchurch Hospital. I also worked as an NZQA qualified first aid trainer with Red Cross for 6 years.
As the health and safety rep for a medical unit within the Canterbury District Health Board I understand how the complexities and dynamics of a working environment change. My experience as a roughneck working the drill floor on a North Sea oil rig also helps me to relate to the dangers of fast productivity, long physical hours, working in a dangerous environment and dealing with fatigue.
I offer customised training within your environment.
Adult first aid training
- Tailor-made individual first aid courses delivered onsite to ensure authentic, relevant training delivered within the guidelines and algorithms set by New Zealand Resuscitation Council (NZRC).
- To educate the team in life saving skills and equipment that may make a difference to an individual’s outcome.
Psychological first aid and wellbeing
- Learn how to look after your own and your team's mental health.
Adhere to protocols
- As set by NZRC, Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) and International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
As Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) you operate under the Health & Safety at Work Act (HSWA) and are responsible for looking after the health and safety of the team.
I am available to discuss the needs of your team with you so give me a call.
